This type of attachment is more often seen on heavy duty, commercial and military type boats. The collar has fabric flaps incorporating a bolt-rope bonded to the length of the collar. When fitted to the hull, a clamping bar is secured against the fabric flap, using either bolts or self-tapping screws to bolt the bar and flap the hull.
